The St. Johns Schools Foundation for Excellence exists primarily for one purpose: to generate funds that will be used to provide learning materials and opportunities for the students of our district that go above and beyond ordinary instruction. Through the generated experiences, we hope to encourage our students to think bigger and to be motivated to excel where they may not have seen the possibility before.

Every year we receive grant proposals for the Foundation's funds from both teachers and students. A good deal of thought and effort goes into the requests. The Foundation has funded projects such as equipment, fieldtrips, the popular visiting author program and other events. Look for a gallery of projects here in the coming months.

The Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. So we work as a holding agent or “pass through” for funds for special projects and scholarships that support our community. Currently, we are acting as such for the Wilson Center Renovation Project and for the Terry Cornwell and Robert & Bonnie LaBrie Scholarships.

We welcome donations large and small to boost our schools. Contributors include the SJPS teacher staff and administrators, parents and relatives of St. Johns students, alumni, community members and local businesses as well as gifts made to honor a special person, or in the memory of a family member or friend. Gifts of any size are welcomed and ay be applied to a specific scholarship or to our main fund for projects of excellence. Please consider making your donation to the Foundation for Excellence to make this another successful year for our students!
